(The Gospel is our culture), as well as from life as a Catholic from Kafanchan Diocese with some experience of the Catholic faith elsewhere within and without the country, this paper seeks to identify and take-up some topical faith challenges confronting the Catholic faith within the context of Kafanchan Dioceseagainst the perspective of a ‘ pentecostalising’ societal trend. In this undertaking, the Catholic Identity is the focus through which challenges from a domestic and global perspective are examined. In addressing these challenges, the paper first sets a background by outlining the basic concepts and contexts which include the meanings of ‘Catholic Identity’, ‘doctrine’, ‘ pastoral’, and ‘pentecostalism’. First among the challenges examined is the fundamental question of Faith itself, within the context of a Catholic Identity.
